handstands and birthday

The weather in midwest has been pretty mild, but we just havent been able to get out and get some pictures.

we have had a lot of indoor activities, the girls have wanting to do gymnastics and the basement is a great place to practice.

Malia achieving the handstand

It has been so long that I had the opportunity to get a good picture of Malia and today she was willing to participate:)

She looks so grown up in this pic and I love how the light has given this a hazy effect.

Then we were off to the east side of the state for Ethan's birthday, he was so excited for another day of birthday gifts.

iHeart Faces ~ Tickled Pink

This weeks theme for iheartfaces is Tickled Pink in honor of Breast care awareness month.

My girls are tickled with pink in this photo shoot.

For the longest time, I have always wanted to take pictures of the girls in front of an old broken down barn to get that 'vintage look'

so when I heard about this barn that is open to the public.
I need I had to go check it out.

The barn was so old we captured so many beautiful shots
Just look at this tree, so many treasured memories I presumed by an old man that once owned this property
He passed away with no family....so the city now owns this property.

It has a beautiful farm field trail along with old furniture was left on the property.

We will definately be back to capture more photos.

Malia posed with her 'Rocky' look from Disney's Shake it up

of course, with their treasured parsol from China

Ava never misses a beat with her 'put together' look

Innocents of a little girl.

Every little girl is a goddess.

The voting will begin on Tuesday - Thursday....hint hint..

coffee & a little dancing

This morning we met some friends for coffee & bagels @ Panera, Ava kept herself busy coloring and digging in my purse for gum & candy.

We then were on the hunt for a bed, you see we sold the crib a year 1/2 ago, we then use a futon mattress that was in the guest room for her to sleep on...well that sold also over the weekend.
so she is now sleeping in the guest room on a queen size bed.

We thougth what a better time to completely redo her room. we took a couple of bags to donate to Goodwill since it was all nursery decor and went shopping got some "big" girl stuff.

We repainted the room, put up some new shelving & got some fabulous new frames. Well, more pictures to come once it is completely done...so stay tune!

doing a little dance at DSW while Mom was shopping for shoes.

My little baby will be 4 in a couple of months....oh cherish the moments we have now.

~ It's gettng a little colder~ {Black & White Wednesday)

December is approaching quickly as we all know old man winter is soon approaching.
The hats, heavy coat, mittens & boots is going to be the everyday attire....{sigh} but little Ava loves her winter coat, especially the "fur" it makes her so warm and cozy inside.

Hop over to Lisa's blog and see more beautiful black & White Wednesday.

the long road

Just a little on the shy side......

http://www.alliemariephotographysite.com/blog

A beautiful young photographer named Allie made my little loud mouth Ava quiet today at her photo session. If you all know Ava, she is not one to be quiet, yes she maybe a little shy at first but for the entire session. She did not once smile or talk which amazed me by all means.
Miss Allie did a wonderful job trying to get her to budge and do some tricks but no Ava would not do a darn thing for her. maybe next time:)
