Easter Egg Hunt

We attended the nearby church that hosted a community Easter Egg Hunt for kids 1-10years old.

This is our second year attending the hunt, the church is so gracious they have donut holes and coffee, face painting,  balloons & clowns entertaining the kids before the hunt.

Best of all the kids enjoy their prizes when they get a golden ticket in their egg.

The hunt begins....

The girls actually teamed up in each of their age group, one would hold the bag and the other
would pick up the egg.

there were 12,000 eggs in all

The girls had such a great time, we will mostly attend again next year.

Happy 8th Birthday, Malia

My little girl is turning "8". She has grown so much within the year.

She chose to IHOP as her birthday dinner with Auntie & Sera.

She has grown up to a be a beautiful little girl.

She loves movies and loves to impersonate Jim Carey.

She has a bottomless pit.
Pancakes & sausage are her favorite either for breakfast or dinner.

Favorite Friday Photo ~ I {Heart} ribs

I didn't realize how much my girls love ribs until tonight.

We ordered from a little hole in the wall "true Texan" restuarant, We didn't realize how good it was, they had really good reviews on YELP and our local restuarnat reviewers.

They had everything from ribs to rib tips and briskets and texan chili, it sure was YUMMO!

The licked their 10 little fingers and smacking their lips until their was no BBQ sauce left!

Ava who barely eats had 3 huge ribs and tips.

We will definately be back for more yummy ribs and tips!

Christmas morning

Merry Christmas from our family to yours.
Santa dropped off a "big" present for the girls on Christmas Eve.

How wonderful it was that Santa knew that the girls needed a armoire for their dolls clothes

Nana has been sewing like crazy making all the dolls clothes and shoes.  Some of the dolls even have hats and mittens.

Opening gifts is one of the girls favorite and they can't wait!

all of Malia's treasures

A special bath towel from Miss Trish, our daycare provider

All of Ava treasures

our family favorite Peppermint cake for Christmas dinner.

we seem to have more DOGS then kids these days.....

This year Kath came up with an idea to "recycle" gifts.
Each child is to check their toys at home and see what they have out grew and do an exchange with each other.

The kids showing their special treasure of "recycle" gift.

Headbanz was one of our favorite family game this year.

then we had the "gamer" that stuck herself in front of the TV for 4 hours that night.

Bosco and Malia
It was a wonderful Christmas with family.

The Nutcracker

It has been one of our family tradition to take the girls to see the nutcracker.  This will be our 3rd year going.
The girls enjoy the music and since this year Ava has been taking dance she really enjoyed the ballet.

During intermission, the girls loved to go and check out all the ornaments and see the different nutcrakers.

They each got to pick out an ornament.

What an awesome show it was.
Malia always seems to fall asleep during the 2nd half but Ava was pretty determined to make it thru until she got in the car, then she was got like a light.

The Children's Museum

The girls and I met some friends at the local Children's Museum.
The girls had a great time just playing and being able to run around and touch everything.

The human bubble maker is always a favorite

This is baby Ana, whom my friend, Stephanie adopted domestically, she is a beautiful little girl.  She was so content just sitting in her stroller and just checking everything out.

This was a sure moment of candid camera caught once again checking herself out....

then it was performing on stage, Malia pretending she is playing the banjo.

Thank you everyone for coming to the show!
The girls had such a blast, we were able to stay there for over 3 hours.
